The world of business seems foreign to the training of acupuncture and Oriental Medicine on the surface. But dig deeper and you see that a business is a spiritual entity that has an anatomy of its own. While other classes explore the spirits within a business (Hun, Zhi, Po, Shen, Yi), this class instead focuses on the overall anatomy of a business as a living thing and what you must do to keep it healthy.
This class applies fundamental Chinese theories of Qi, Yin, and Yang, the Five Elements towards your business to help you better understand the energetic dynamics of a business. For instance, Yin and Yang provides special insights into the importance of "paying your dues"
This class explores Shen, Hun, Po, Zhi and Yi from three important perspectives: your spirits, your customers', and your business'. These spirits create drives, ambitions, and insights that set your spiritual path and determine the success of your business in many important ways.
This class discusses the profound impact of planetary energies (as described in the Neijing) on the success and failure of your business. These forces control the ebbs and flows of resources that are vital for your survival. Predictions about future years based on Five Element celestial energies will help you plan today for the challenges your business will face in the not so distant future.

Pre-Requisite [S-5]. Your Enrollment Key is visible when you enroll in the pre-requisite [S-5] in the [S-5] lesson plan.
No business relationship is seemless. In fact, more often then not, conflict arises among business partners. Invariably, this conflict comes down to your constitution interacting with your business partner's. Understanding the energetic dynamic of this process can de-escalate issues that might otherwise might lead to dissolution of a company. Pre-Requisite [S-5]. Your Enrollment Key is visible when you enroll in the pre-requisite [S-5] in the [S-5] lesson plan.

Chinese medicine draws its inspiration from Buddhist and Taoist principles. The Buddhist principle of Oneness is essentially the mechanism for what is popularly known today as The Law Of Attraction. Find out how to make The Law Of Attraction work for you so as to protect yourself from natural ebbs in every business cycle. If you were only going to take one CEU/PDA class this season, there is no doubt this is the one you should take. You will likely use these lessons the remainder of your business career.
The TCM method of diagnosis and treatment is a deductive method that requires a tremendous amount of memorization of treatment categories and their corresponding set of symptoms. The Neijing, in contrast, eschews an inductive method where Five Element associations are put together to create a diagnosis and treatment that is flexible enough to treat the myriad of issues faced by each unique patient.
The Five Elements are even more amazing than you think! Their crisscrossing action generates the web of our bodies, including all microsystems. This class also introduces an entirely unique pulse taking technique that simplifies the pulse for the purpose of Five Element diagnosis.
Not Approved For CEUs In California. Qi is effervescent like steam when cooking rice. So, it should come as no surprise that the Qi of the meridians floats outside the body.
Do you know where the Chinese medical organs are located? They do not correspond 1-to-1 with Western organs. In fact, they are defined by meridians and their energy is accessible outside the body. This is an amazing class. Knowing the true location of organs will tremendously improve diagnosis and treatment.
The Yuan coarses through the bones and the Ying flows through the channel system. You may be surprised to learn that moxa is the tool for generating Yuan but on the classical Back Shu points, not the one's you learned at school. Also, learn the secrets of Entry and Exit points and how they can cure the most common diseases.
The Yuan Source is the fertile energy of the body, rich in Five Element Qi. This class discusses all aspects of the Triple Warmer. This class does not actually discuss the moxa technique mentioned in [C-5], instead it focuses on the Fire and Water that mixes in the back and why it is so essential for your well-being.
The energy of our body floats outside of our bodies. This is clearly written in the Neijing. Learn how to locate, palpate, move, and treat these truly amazing energetic structures. Also, discover the Reservoirs, locations around our body where excessive energies are stored for a rainy day. Discover their importance in health and disease.
Wouldn't it be nice to have a simple, visual system to help you organize together the organs, channels, extraordinary vessels, and six divisions? Introducing The Triangle, Three Squares, and Circle, an easy to learn tool to help you organize together the interlinking connections of our energetic anatomy.
Jing translates to "weave". What is woven? The Qi "fibers" of our body. This course discusses Jing Weave and how it is impacted by the Five Elements. This is a great class for understanding how different Elements affect the tissues -- something to consider when applying Tuina massage, moxa, cupping, or other techniques that directly influence the tissues.
The Neijing discusses a concept called the Eight Winds: four winds approach from Heaven to Earth and four winds align along Earth. These winds are Baguas, representations of energy in space. How they combine creates the infinite variability of our experience and explains some of the most complicated clinical cases we can face.
You can go your entire career considering Qi only a theory that has no actual substance in reality. Of course, that would be a serious shame, as our medicine is energy medicine -- Qi medicine -- and Qi is very real. It constructs the entire Universe, for goodness sakes! This class describes how real energy moves in the channels.
While the last class [C-11] focused on energy as real, this class takes this truth one step further and describes the Five Elements as actual movements of Qi that you can wrap your mind around. With this knowledge, you can physically manipulate energy and convert one Element into another -- the art of alchemy. This course is not approved by the FL Board of Acupuncture.
The skill of palpating Five Element energy and the ability to differentiate between the Five Elements by touch will improve your diagnostic and treatment skills by an order of magnitude. If you can feel the energy, you can determine balance from imbalance and know without a shadow of a doubt the right Element points to use to Control excess or Generate deficiencies.
Excess and deficiency are not abstract concepts but realities that are encountered every day. Learn more about how excesses and deficiencies manifest in the tissues and how they change over time to help you select the absolute best distal points.
Cause and effect is not a modern idea -- it's an ancient one. In our tradition, it is called: "Mother and Child". A Mother always generates a Child. Between Mother and Child, there is a dynamic that either leads to balance or disease. Discover the myriad ways in which our medicine explores these dynamic relationships.
You may think you know pulse diagnosis, but you will be surprised. Five Element pulse taking is as eloquent as it is easy. Compared to learning to identify 28 pulse qualities, it is a veritable breeze to learn the five sides of a pulse and how to use this information to identify where an imbalance is located whether in organs or channels.
When pathogens strike, they always attack the Six Divisions first because of their interconnection with the Du Mai. Six Division pulse taking may just be the easiest pulse taking technique to learn and it can be extremely helpful in locating pathogens as they hide within the energetic anatomy.
The classics say you cannot achieve proficiency in Chinese medicine unless you can cross reference the pulse against visual diagnosis. This course introduces you to the art of color diagnosis in the face, mid-section, and feet. The Neijing also directs special attention to diagnosing the Shen via the antero-lateral aspect of the forearm.
In addition to pulse diagnosis and color diagnosis, the art of voice diagnosis differentiates a good practitioner from a great one. Various diagnostically relevant qualities of sound are discussed in this class
Imbalances are not just theoretical concepts. They have physical effects in specific tissues of the body. This class explores how to identify the location of a disease within organs and meridians and also within tissues at these diseased locations.
Tissues react to excesses and deficiencies in the Five Elements in logical, repeatable ways. Learn how the skin, blood vessels, flesh, tendons, and bones change in shape and behavior with each Element. This is a fantastic class for getting more out of your palpation techniques.
Protection against pathogenic invasions is a high art indeed. Learn how to identify the Five Elements of pathogens in order to protect yourself and your patients from exogenous forces. This class teaches you the method of "Protecting The Gates" to protect vulnerable sites to invasive forces.
Needling and breathing are joined in classical theory. If you have ever wondered why, this class is for you. Find out how universal Kong Qi flows inward with the breath and how the pathogenic energy flows out.
This class is not just for herbalists, but for anyone who has ever wondered what explains the behavior of herbs in the body. Learn how the Five Elements relate to flavors, locations of action, and hot, neutral, and cold. This class is definitely for the herbalist who wants to take herbal medicine to another level of understanding and for improved herbal formula creation.
All things we encounter in reality have Five Element properties, including herbs and foods. The Elements in foods are at their peak of expression, leading to very specific energetic behaviors that are likely to surprise you and challenge your dietary therapy choices.
It goes without saying that as an acupuncturist you are at risk from your patients. The act of healing is an enmeshment of your energy with your patients. This transfusion of energy is two-dimensional and can lead you to suffer. Protect yourself by understanding certain elements of this inter-relationship.
If you know nothing about Chinese medical astrology, STOP EVERYTHING! You must take this class and learn the basics of how celestial energies affect your patients. These celestial affects are daily and ongoing. They explain a tremendous amount about your personal experience as well as your clinical one. You cannot afford to be ignorant of celestial matters.
A person's Shen controls all elements of a patient's energy. What a patient worries about, what emotions he or she suffers on a regular basis strongly moves energy in specific locations of the body. Learn the art of Shen diagnosis and how the Shen reflects Five Element relationships for insights into your patients' complicated energetic dynamics.
A class in ethics is required by the NCCAOM as well as by many states. It should come as no surprise to you that classical healers have long espoused the highest ethical standards. This course looks at ethics from a modern as well as a classical perspective. No ethics class on the market is as classically insightful (and therefore as relevant to your practice) as this one.
So you think you can live with your filiform needle alone? Just one moment, there. Nine needles make up the complete set of traditional needles and many of them are still available today to fill out your clinical repertoire. Learn about each needle and its suggested use. Then see where your filiform sites within the pantheon of tools.
When is Moxa cone better than warming needle? How can you decide which moxa tool is right for the situation? This chapter explores the when's and how's of some of the best moxa techniques around.
\One must access the Qi to balance and manipulate it. These techniques are used to fill needles with Qi, remove Qi from needles, and to fill energetic pathways with Qi. This class is divided into the following categories: 1. Absorbing Qi into the needle or removing Qi from the needle 2. Increasing Qi inside energetic pathways 3. Tonifying or dispersing by balancing energetic pathways 4. Deficiencies that will not fill
The ultimate goal in our medicine is to restore balance between Qi, Yin, and Yang, the basic building blocks of all things. This course discusses techniques that harmonize Yin and Yang as well as Yin, Qi, and Yang.
Once you fill a needle with Elemental Qi (see [I-3] Communicating with Qi), you must release that energy into the channel system. These techniques are designed to do just that. Recommended you also take classes: C-2, C-12, C-13
The techniques in the course assist in balancing the Five Elements when imbalance creates disharmony and disease. These techniques span the millenia from the classics to modern day. Recommended you also take classes: C-2, C-12, C-13
Transfusion is the process of filling the patient with Qi derived from an exterior source. It uses an object, needles, water, food, herbs, or the practitioner
There are a myriad of techniques available for clearing pathogens when they strike the body. This quick course will do wonders for your patients by improving your capacity to heal them when pathogens strike. Recommended you also take classes: C-2, C-12, C-13, C-17

As described in The Secret Chamber, the Matrix consists of eight basic planes of Qi corresponding to the Eight Winds of the Neijing, the axis of the Bagua, and the directions of the Magic Square. These eight planes, four parallel to the point and four at an angle with the point, surround every given point in space. These techniques are used to balance energy in these energetic planes and are especially good in difficult, protracted, and recurring disease states.
These techniques are suitable for treating energetic structures residing off the body. See The Secret Chamber classes for more information about these off-body energetic structures.
Each of the five sensory organs is a microsystem. This will significantly improve your visual diagnosis by teaching you the meaning of contours, protrusions, and recesses within these sensory microsystems.
Each of the Five Elements corresponds with a body tissue. While each tissue contains a preponderance of its associated Five Element Qi, it also contains all of the other Elements to some degree. Within tissues, Elements can become imbalanced. Each tissue level therefore has an associated method of treatment to tonify or disperse excesses or deficiencies.
In the case of emergency, patients should go to a hospital. But what if that is impossible? Or what if the problem is not a severe emergency requiring emergency care? Or what can you do while you wait for the ambulance? This class discusses emergency care within our medicine.
Prevention is the best medicine. In China, failure was when your patient became sick. Learn these wonderful preventative techniques for yourself and your patients.
This class is an introduction to astrological techniques. A 60 year, 60 day, 10 day, and circadian rhythm controls many aspects of our energy flow. These techniques assist your use of this knowledge for better diagnosis and treatment.
First there is Wu Qi. From this emerges Yin and Yang. Yin and Yang in turn make Heaven, Man, and Earth. Is it possible you have never learned one of the top three building blocks of Chinese medicine? Heaven, Man, and Earth is so profound, it influences all elements of health and disease. You absolutely must learn this keystone theory in order to reach your highest potential in the art of Chinese medicine.
From Heaven, Man, and Earth emerges three-dimensional space. 360 degrees emerge and each degree has its own unique energetic fingerprint. Every tissue in the body resonates with a single degree. Learn how to use this information to diagnose and treat ANY tissue of the body for the quickest, most powerful treatments imaginable. Recommended [F-1]
Every degree resonates with a unique tissue. The tissue it resonates with makes sense when you understand how the Five Elements align in space to create an energetic grid. This class will finally connect the dots for you about elements of Chinese theory that have otherwise remained side-by-side but never fully integrated. Pre-requisite [F-2]. Your enrollment key for this class can be found on the main course page for [F-2]. Enroll in that course first.
Once you understand what a tissue-angle is, you can use it to improve your diagnostic palpatory skills into grandmaster levels. Pre-requisite [F-2]. Your enrollment key for this class can be found on the main course page for [F-2]. Enroll in that course first.
So, you thought our medicine was only about meridians and extraordinary vessels, think again! Lines of force divide the body into unique energetic building blocks that are more fundamentally important in treating a patient than meridians. Pre-requisite [F-1]. Your enrollment key for this class can be found on the main course page for [F-1]. Enroll in that course first.
Qi and Jing are two sides of the same coin. Learn about what constructs Jing so that you can TREAT Jing. How do you treat both Qi and Jing? Which one will heal a patient faster than the other?
The energy that fills our energetic anatomy ranges from the coarse (what we see/feel/hear/touch/taste) to the subtle. In fact, there is no appreciable end to the number of layers of energy around us. Yet, they all can carry excesses and deficiencies that can impact our well-being. Pre-requisite [F-2] and [F-4]. Your enrollment key for this class can be found on the main course pages for [F-2] and [F-4]. Enroll in both courses first.
This is not your grandfather's Tuina. Fu Xi Wen Massage is an entirely new package of massage techniques that will allow you to balance energy in any tissue no matter where it lies in the body through physical manipulation. Pre-requisite [F-2]. Your enrollment key for this class can be found on the main course page for [F-2]. Enroll in that course first.
Fu Xi Wen is essentially the application of Feng Shui to the body. But guess what, you can also apply the body to your Feng Shui. Your entire treatment room reflects back the patient's physiological state. Learn how to use your room to more deeply treat any disease. Recommended [F-2]
I love herbs but they are problematic. They only go two to three levels deep in the energy. Yet, you can create medicinals for your patients that treat every layer of energy that is imbalanced simply by treating water. I used these methods exclusively in my practice for a year and experienced transformative results. Try it yourself and see how and why. Pre-requisite [F-2], [F-4]. Your enrollment key for this class can be found on the main course pages for [F-2] and [F-4]. Enroll in both courses first.
This class is acupuncture blasphemy. Pull your hair out and curse this course if you must, but then take it and realize that it explains all of those cases where the points did not have their intended affect. Your meridians do not flow in a straight line like they show in books. Instead, they follow the law of Yin and Yang like everything else.
Organs are amazing. They are storage centers of energy. Energy is amazing, as it retains information. For instance, it knows where it has an affinity in the body. This class illustrates how you can treat organs to powerfully transform energetic states in specific areas of the body.
You can treat extraordinary vessels on the body exactly where the Neijing describes them, but this would be missing the point. Extraordinary vessels have physiological relationships with these locations. BUT, they actually exist outside the body where they can be palpated, diagnosed, and treated directly.
There is no pulse taking technique more powerful and efficient than the one described in this class. You can diagnose any tissue of the body for Yin, Qi, and Yang imbalances or Five Element imbalances amazingly quickly if you learn the tissue-angles and understand how to read the beats and back-beats of the pulse. I spent years becoming proficient in all other pulse techniques. But once I found this technique, I completely stopped doing everything else. These techniques are transformative on every level. Pre-requisite [F-1], [F-2]. Your enrollment key for this class can be found on the main course pages for [F-1] and [F-2]. Enroll in both courses first.
Disease does not just sit in once place, it moves over time based on a logic that is easy to master. If you know where the disease is and what kind of imbalanced energy is there, you know where it is going and how to defeat it.
Constitution is such a fundamentally important element in a person's health and well-being. It determines which of the Five Elements are more pervasive in the body than others and how these Elements will attack Controlled tissues over time.
